Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd (SCIB) is investing RM6m in plant expansion to raise the production capacity of spun piles. Chairman Tan Sri Hamid Bugo said that two new production lines would be installed at the group’s factory in Demak Laut Industrial Park here.
“The machinery for the expansion project has been ordered and the new production lines would be commissioned by Jan next year,” he told StarBiz after the company’s AGM last week. He said the new lines would have an installed capacity of 30,000 tonnes a year, and that it would raise the plant’s total capacity to 114,000 tonnes a year. (Starbiz)
